The Black Boy is owned by the Rigby Family, who in 1993 restored it to earn a reputation as one of the finest public houses in the Midlands.

The Black Boy has been serving local high quality food and refreshing beverages in an idyllic location for many years.

The brief: The Black Boy needed a new modern website that was designed to grab potential customers attention and increase their online presence and lead generation through the site.

Our Process
The project started with us mapping out the new sitemap and identifying the specific goals. The Black Boy wanted to keep their original branding and colour scheme which we had previously designed some years ago.
We wanted to modernise the site so we started off by organising a photographer to do a days photoshoot inside and around the pubs grounds.
This was a website redesign so we had to bear in mind their current SEO and the current websites content so that this would not effect their rankings and traffic.
The Build
The website was designed to focus on the pub being family run and family friendly. Another important aspect was the users journey being extremely simple to navigate.
We dispensed with the old PDF menu downloads and replaced with a bespoke template that worked well for all of the different menus, whilst the user still had the choice to download the menu if they so wished.
The Outcome
The final website is fully responsive across all devices. The websites launch was pushed through various social media and marketing campaigns.
The customer now has the ability to login on the go and make relevant changes or amendments to their website.
